A TuitionWise student loan can be used for almost any education-related expense, including tuition, room and board, books, school fees, a computer, and travel to and from home.

How much can I borrow with a TuitionWise student loan?

You can borrow from $1,500 - $40,000¹ per year based on the estimated cost of attendance at your school and loan type. You can borrow up to a lifetime maximum of $130,000.

When will I receive my funds?

You can receive your check in as little as 5 business days from receipt of completed application if you choose to use our downloadable credit agreement and fax-back option.

What information do I need to apply for a TuitionWise student loan?

When you call or apply online, please have this information available:

Each applicant (student and co-signer) needs to provide the following information:

• social security number
• date of birth
• permanent home address and years at that address
  (No P.O. Boxes)
• home phone
• name and address of a reference

Either the student (if applying alone) or the co-signer must also provide the following information:

• own/rent and monthly housing payment
• employer and how long employed
• business phone
• occupation/position
• gross annual income

Additionally, applicants will be asked if they have ever defaulted on an education loan or declared bankruptcy.

Do I have to apply with a co-signer?

Your chances of being approved for a TuitionWise student loan improve if you apply with a qualified co-signer. And a co-signer with excellent credit can even help you secure a lower interest rate and loan fees. If you would like to apply without a co-signer, you must meet five key criteria:

• Sufficient current income
• Two years continuous employment
• At least one year at your current and immediately preceding addresses
• A U.S. citizen or a permanent resident who has resided in the U.S. for the previous two years
• At least 21 months of credit experience and a satisfactory credit history

How long do I have to repay my TuitionWise student loan?
